Full time job with 40 hours per week.
Prepare, maintain, and update units in a timely and professional manner including painting, appliance, cabinetry, flooring, and other replacements, drywall routine repairs, plumbing, electrical wiring, carpentry, HVAC, door locks and many others.
Develop and maintain professional and collaborative work relationships with staff, residents, and inspectors.
Perform and ensure that all assigned maintenance requests are handled on an immediate basis and are handled in an efficient manner.
Continually inspect the property and report deficiencies to supervisor.
Work with the leasing office in the scheduling of vacant units for refurbishing and occupancy.
Follow preventative maintenance programs for the property and specific equipment.
Responsible for complying with safety regulations to avoid injury to self and others.
Inspect buildings, equipment, and appliances for functionality.
Checking for faults and fixing them where they exist to keep all things running and functioning properly; also, make provision for replacement of old and damaged appliances.
Diagnose problems with appliances and facilitate their prompt repairs for the convenience of property users, and carry out repairs on minor problems, such as light fixtures, clogged toilets, leakages, peeling wall and furniture.
Check electrical wiring for accuracy and compliance with regulatory standards to avoid accidents.
Participate in on call emergency rotation for after hours maintenance emergencies.
