ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:
1.
Maintain confidentiality of records, knowledge of events, student and staff associated information.
2.
Ensure a safe atmosphere for the students, faculty, staff, and visitors.
3.
Follow and maintain accurate sign-in/sign-out procedures in schools.
4.
Report any suspicious activity that compromises faculty, staff, student, and visitor safety to the administration.
5.
Assist in monitoring school grounds and buildings.
6.
Ensure that completed student observation reports are submitted to the appropriate administrators.
7.
Assist in conducting investigations of prohibitive/criminal behavior as directed by the Director of Security.
8.
Maintain familiarity with all East Lyme Board of Education, state, and federal policies, statutes, and court decisions.
9.
Follow work schedules that achieve maximum effectiveness of department objectives.
10.
Ensure the confidentiality/integrity of the security department report writing and record keeping system.
11.
Assist in the security coverage for all athletic and other student or public events.
12.
Perform other duties as assigned.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
