Vehicle Description 1966 Buick Riviera This car was built in Flint, MI.
From the factory, she was optioned with the Strato Bench, door guard moldings, rear seat speaker, seat-belts, power steering and power brakes.
The previous owner had started a restoration on the car, pulling the car apart and having her painted in the original Riviera Silver Green.
The engine came out and was freshened up, the underbody was painted and new true dual exhaust was installed.
He did not get all the chrome/stainless trim done, so there are some minor issues, she still presents very nicely.
The paint work is at least 5 years old and it is still in very good condition.
There are a couple of spots where dirt may have gotten in the paint and those are shown.
There is some very minor surface rust on parts of the exhaust and under carriage, however, no heavy rust/ rot.
The interior is all original in green vinyl and the 23,000 miles on the odometer may be actual miles.
The car had been sitting when the previous owner bought the car and some of the interior blemishes may be from time sitting as opposed to miles.
The pedals are in very good shape, dash pad, etc.
We cannot say for certain though actual mileage.
The engine is the Wildcat 465 (named after the 465 lb.
ft.
of torque) 425ci Nailhead pushing out 340 HP.
An Edlebrock Street Performer 4bbl carb was added along with the aforementioned dual exhaust.
The original carb comes with the car.
All that torque is sent to the Buick specific 10 Bolt, 3.
07 geared rear axle.
When the engine came out, it was painted and unfortunately, the engine number is not visible, it is believed to be the original engine.
It is a 425 based on the casting number and the twin bumps near the bell housing.
Two pumps of the gas pedal and she fires right up and the exhaust has a very nice rumble, there is a small leak, a donut gasket on one manifold/down pipe.
She accelerates well and drives smoothly, the power brakes (4 wheel drum, finned in front) stop this large car easily and straight, no heavy pull.
Steering is tight, although, it is 60's era power steering, so it is very light.
.
this isn't a sports car, a bit more like piloting a small yacht.
This car is a great driver and has looks not seen in any other cars of that generation.
The flip up headlights work correctly as do all the other electronics on the car.
The current owner has had her for about three years now and simply hasn't driven her enough.
He's put about 800 miles on her in those 3 years, hence the reason he's moving her on to a new conservator.
Truly an awesome car to jump in an enjoy immediately.
Asking price is $28,500 Questions, for many more photos and video, to schedule a test drive/meet her in person or to make an offer, please don't hesitate to contact me.
Thanks for the interest.
